Ives Run; Hammond Lake | PA

Heading to Ives Run in Tioga County this coming weekend. We were upstate PA this past weekend riding quads and the leaves were looking beautiful.

Anyone else camping at Ives Run this weekend?

I've driven by the lakes so many times on the way to Rochester but never stopped or stayed. Definitely on my list. The lakes look beautiful from RT.15

Have you been there before? What are the sites closest to the water?

I ride quads down closer to Trout Run PA. Very nice area.

We were there in the spring. A very nice park and it books fast. We have a lake view - water & electric site this trip. Some of the other sites are full hook up.

We were riding quads this past weekend on the trails near Coudersport.

Nice, I've tent camped at the Potter County family campground where you can ride the state trails (Lyman Run/Denton Hill). Pretty cool, not enough trails tho. We also did a day trip to the Majestic "pay" trails. Again, pretty cool, not enough trails.

No doubt - the state does not provide that many trails, but can find the time to sell the timber and allow the drillers to come in and do their thing!

Ives Run at Tioga-Hammond lake is a great campground. I have never stayed as my farm I camp on is about 10 miles North just across the NY state line. I have friends that stay there often, as they aren't boondockers at all. Anyway, here are some pix from the July 4th fireworks over the lake.
