Jacksonville to Hillsborough state park

Any advice on the best route, Google shows 301 rd closure, 10 to 75 or should I just go 95 down to Orlando? Pulling our fifth wheel the 26th.

If you can't go 301 go I-10-Lake City-I-75 south. Stay far away from the mouse house unless you are going there.

I live in north Central Florida. I think you might have looked at 301 when the road was closed due to an accident. I haven’t heard of anything. Rt. 40 and I -75 in Ocala had a sink hole the other day. Don’t know if that’s been fixed. I - 10 to I - 75 is good. A lot of traffic headed south now. Stay in the right lane at 65 mph and most will go around you. DO NOT go I -4 unless you need to go to Orlando.

Thanks, kinda what I was figuring. Going to Disney, but no RV, just one day trip to check it out during Christmas.

Expect crowds. I hope you have some fast passes reserved. We are headed there for one night in the campground after Christmas. I want to ride around on my bike to see all the RV sites that are decorated. No plans to visit the parks. Then headed to the beach for two nights in the TT.

We avoid Starke and a few other annoying towns by taking Florida 23 south to Blanding, FL-21, then Blanding south all the way to FL-20. West about 5 miles to 301. 301 south to 326, 4 miles west to I-75 then south to Tampa. We’ve done it this way since 2005 and enjoy the drive.

If you are reserved at Hillsborough River SP make sure your site is not flooded - they usually call everyone but I know flood stage is supposed to crest Christmas day-ish there
