Kathryn Abbey Hanna campground in Jacksonville, FL

Has anyone ever stayed at or heard about this campground?

The campground is located right on the Atlantic Ocean (very short walk),
Owned by the city of Jacksonville in a very wooded location. It is just outside the US Naval Station of Mayport NS. has a large fresh water lake that is stocked with fish and an occasional alligator! The RV park is about 13 miles from downtown Jacksonville. You can access the park from I-95 pretty easy by following the Maypost Naval Station directions from I-95.

It is the only general public RV park located on the ocean in North east Florida. There is also a RV park located on the Naval Station for use by
active, retired, civil service people.

We have not stayed there yet, but have reservations for Memorial Day weekend this year. I have had several friends recommend the park. I will try and report back ofter our trip. As for the full hookup's, I don't think they have full hook up sites at all.

If you go, don't forget to venture into Jacksonville Beach area and eat breakfast at Metro Diner...go verrrry hungry! And if you're into fish, in old Mayport Village, go to Singletons....go hungry there too!!
We stay at Mayport occasionally and have driven thru Hanna park a couple of times. Nice very treed park. Can't answer hookup question tho.
