One tip- take flashlights and look into the water at night. Lots of fish. If you see orange reflected back at you, it's shrimp. We didn't see, but the owner talked about octopus and lobsters.

Looking forward to the warm get-a-way.
This turned out to be a very nice RV Resort. Everyone is friendly and the site is well cared for.
Today is our last day as we pack it up and leave tomorrow.
We had Lot 8 which is close to highway and therefore road noise.
We easily went back and forth into Key West.
The cold front up north has made it a little chilly down here as well.
Still very nice here!

Key West is pretty awesome. We ventured out last year. Everything is so laid back and there's a good amount of history to see. Enjoy!!

I'm kind of disappointed.. We booked last year for our premium site in Dec .For 8 day stay in May... First we were told that our site was double book so we were moved next to it... Then today I'm notified that the new rates 2015 have come at an increase of 20%.. So I have to pay the difference...

Wow, I kinda feel the place is way too pricy, understanding we were next to Key West... But, 20% more..... That's hard to take!

A 20% increase is pretty hard to swallow when the base price is $100 or more. Being moved sites wouldn't bother me unless I was at one of their really fancy premium sites, but that kind of increase- jeepers.

I understand the rate increase.. But 20% and now I realized they cancelled our 6+ day discount..since the new 2015 specials require 7 night and get one free...so it's more like a 23% increase ..

Changing plans...not going to Bluewater. Going back to Geiger. They have the best "fish camp" ever!

Well just to update.. Wife spoke to them yesterday.. Even though we still have to pay the increase.. They agreed to update our reservation to include the 7th day free special.....which takes some of the sting off...

How is Geiger? I have never gotten around to checking the place out... The pics on there site ..makes the place look like all the sites are lined up with no screens or divides....are there any private sites?

No privacy fences. You do have a palapa. On the water sites you have a canal right up to the site with mangroves opposite. It's a really quirky little place but we were instantly welcomed by the other RVers and made quick friends. Our only negative was there were only a couple sites that had more of an open water view, and we couldn't get our 40' 5er in them.

It's quirky like Key West. But even if you stay somewhere else try to go to Geiger for a great "Hog Fish" sandwich or taco. AMAZING. And it's a real locals place that makes it fun.
