Knoxville, TN to Cages Bend Campground

We are heading that way in a couple weeks, going from I-81 in Knoxville to Cages Bend Campground, (near Hndersonville, TN)any tips on getting there would be great, and any input on the campground it self would be great too. would like to stick to main roads given our size.
Thank you in advance

From I-81 you will take I-40 West through Knoxville toward Nashville. A few miles past the Lebanon, TN exit on I-40 you take Exit 232 (Hwy. 109 North) toward Gallatin, TN. Just South of Gallatin at the first light, Hwy. 109 will go left. Proceed to Hwy. 31E (Nashville Pike) and go South. About 6 or 7 miles South on 31E take a left on Cages Bend Road. Watch for Douglas Bend Road on the left, Cages Bend will be the next left, there will be a Kroger Market Place on the corner. Follow Cages Bend Road to the campground. Happy Camping in Middle Tennessee.

I have not camped at Cages Bend. It is only about 18 miles from my home.

When we camp locally or in Middle Tennessee we go to Obey River or Dale Hollow Dam Site on Dale Hollow Lake. Also Defeated Creek on Cordell Hull.
