Lake George Trip

Taking a trip to Lake George Escape Campground up on the Shroon River this September. Taking a dry run (no camper) up there the weekend of Valentines Day. Want to see what I'm in store for driving and when we get to the campground. I am leaving from Middle Island, NY. Anyone out there done this trip? I know we have all kinds of roads we cant go on. Ill eventually be towing Primetime Crusader 260RLD. Truck and trailer are about 50 feet. I'm looking for a great route to take. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lake George Trip

Interstates - Lake George is right off I-87. Once you get north of Albany, rest areas are between exits 9 & 10, and between Exits 17 & 18. Next stop Lk George (exits 20-22).

Simplest might be 495 --> 295 --> 95 North to 287 --> 87 north. Should take you 4.5 - 6 hours depending on traffic with the trailer.

X2....Interstates! LIE (I495) to the Clearview (I295), Throgs Neck Br/Throgs Neck Expy (I695), Bruckner Expy (I95), I287, I684, I84, New York State Thruway/Adirondak Northway (I87). And as you know, getting off the Island/NYC won't be cheap toll wise.....you'll probably spend less your entire stay in LG!
