We'll be leaving Friday on which, unfortunately, is our first trip of the season, and probably our only one. The weather here has been quite spectacular recently. Five weeks with no rain, humidity around 15% and gin-clear skies. We had fog today for the first time for many weeks, so that's a sign that Fall is imminent
I had cardiac sugery just before Christmas, then DW had rotator cuff surgery in early June. Just as we were getting our breath back, our son, d-i-l and 9-month old grand-daughter (whom we'd never seen) came over from Japan and my sister came over from England. During the Labor Day weekend, we averaged 14 people for every meal over the three days!
We're about to head off on a 10-day trip, with three days at an irv2.com Northwest meet and greet at Silver Cove resort, near Toutle, WA, then maybe across to Astoria, then Tillamook (for the aviation museum in the WW2 blimp hangar).
After that, probably home up through Bremerton, Paulsbo to Port Townsend and then the ferry across to Coupeville and home. Maybe an overnight at the State Park next to the ferry terminal at Coupeville. It was upgraded last fall to have full hook-ups, so we might try it just to see what it's like, even though it's only 40 miles from home. We might have to fight off the Canadian RVers who really love the place.
More news when it's fit to print!
