Leaving from FL to PA Saturday 1/23/2016.

We are trying to get back to Gettysburg PA area from the rally in FL. Looking to drive to SC Saturday and possible to Four Oaks NC on Sunday. Then hopefully drive up to PA on Monday.

Would love to get updates on road conditions Saturday Sunday and Monday from fellow FROGs in those areas during those days.

Really don't want to get stuck in VA at truck stop because roads are impassible. We will be driving up 95 to DC then 270 to Frederick MD, then 15 to East Berlin.

Weather report shows I should be good up into SC tomorrow. The unknown areas are above SC where the will have got snow.

Wish I could help DW and I are in Fl also. Live in Hanover, my WAG is you will do ok until you hit the PA line then all bets are off. Sister lives in East Berlin along Conewago, will pass on any conditions from her. Travel safe.

Any chance you can stay put till the storm clears and the roads can be cleared.

Leaving from FL to PA Saturday 1/23/2016.

Been watching weather channel. Storm is suppose to be over by Saturday. It just depends on how long states and municipalities take to clean up roads. As I said good to NC boarder. After that it's iffy. We have stayed an extra day already. I thought local people in NC and up could give me real time conditions of roads which weather channel would not. Sunday and Monday is suppose to be sunny. Monday will be the day we would be driving north of NC. I hope two days would give VA, MD time to get bare roads.

2 to 3 feet of snow in that area and hundreds of miles of the area you need to pass through. No way will road conditions be safe for towing by then. Stay a little further south for a few more days.

6 inches yesterday and calling for another 3 to 5 today in the Richmond area. A good source to look at is Virginia 511 Web to monitor the latest traffic and can view the web cams of the actual road conditions. I would stay south for a few more days.

from DC area to Gettysburg, it's not measured in inches, but in feet. Your setting yourself up for disaster going near there now

Also strong winds with blizzard condition for today north of NC. Roads maynot be passable. I would stay in FL a little longer maybe move up to Savannah, GA for a few days. Later RJD
