Look what we found
We just completed a eleven days at Turtle Lake Campground in northern Michigan, just south of Traverse City. Nice quiet clean friendly campground with a small lake and lots to see and do nearby. (Sleeping Bear Dunes and National Lakeshore). Came across this place but unfortunately did not have Forest Jump with us to take his picture there. Hope this works as I'm not sure how to downsize these pictures from our daughters I-Pad but lets give it a try to include them. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)

Hello guys. Yes I remember you well but not well enough to remember your ages. If it is possible you are seniors it apparently makes a difference for your entrance to the park as it is a National Park not a State Park. No breaks for us though as we are Canadian. Whatever, it was well worth the $10 seven day pass for a carload or even the $20 annual fee which I think may get you into all National Parks. If you go hang on to your receipt as it gets you into both the Scenic Drive and the Dune Climb. Both are must do as is the Day Heritage Village and former U.S. Lifesaving post/Coast Guard post/Marine Museum at the north end of the park. Won't see you in Goshen as we leave for Wisconsin that week. By the way, I did get my discharge pipe fixed better than new (I hope). Have fun and travel safe. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)

We camped turtle lake last year, the GPS took us the back way in, single dirt road, then the campground was full of loud drunk tents, we asked to go to the back of the park then left the next day. If not for the swear words and the noise till 1am it would of been nice

That is unfortunate as they now have an 11 o'clock quiet time and we found it was quiet usually by ten. Possibly it was just a group of unruly tenters who the two young girls that run the place had trouble controlling as we were there across a weekend when the campground filled up but it was mostly families. Even those in tents. As to the GPS, mine did that as well but we met a local right after we turned on to the road and when I asked he said we were better off to go down to Cinder Rd. which is paved right to the entrance road and there is a sign there. Hope you experience didn't spoil your trip. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)

Yeah I guess I should have spelled it out very slowly and clearly that while we were at Turtle Lake Campground we found this place nearby on SR31just past the Bendon side road. Okay enough silliness. We actually drove into Frog Pond Village and it appears to be some sort of banquet and wedding facility. It was Sunday so they were closed and all we could do was a parking lot drive through. No one around to talk to. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)
