Looking for a good campground in southwest Michigan

Hello All!

We have a family get together of a couple of weeks in Grand Beach, Michigan. To get the most out of our weekend, we thought it would be fun to camp nearby. But I'm not running into much success searching for a campground. What better place to get a good recommendation that FRF and fellow campers?

I'm looking for full hookup sites. Any help is appreciated!

Mark

We've been to Warren Dunes State Park just a tad north of where you're going and loved it! Lots of Lake Michigan Shoreline and a nice dune to play on. CG is woodsy and has a really neat store.

Warren Dunes State Park Detail.

I've looked at Warren Dunes but don't see any evidence of full hook ups. Do they have them there?

To my knowledge no they do not

U might check Indiana dunes in Indiana. Not that far away from where you are going. But they have a no alcohol allowed rule

I just searched and didn't find much closer than 25 miles

2 thoughts-- It's just for the weekend- WHY do you need full hookups?
Nearby state parks will have electric and you can fill your tank
when you get there.
Michigan state parks have pretty good rest rooms IMO.

They don't allow alcohol but if you're discrete and don't sit around
with a beer can in your hand- no one will know or care.

Michigan parks tend to fill up on weekends so get your reservation
in NOW. It might not be too late!

My 2¢
