Looking for Campground in Northeast

Full hookups, large sites (of course) access to biking or hiking trails. I did all the internet searches, read reviews, etc., and what it comes down to is this is one of the forum site I trust more than any other (I have also received non-bias reviews here). Looking for any suggestions in the Northeast for a week of camping.

Thanks

A lot of PA state parks are nice and close to hiking and biking trails. They are also installing full hookups at most www.dcnr.state.pa Is the website.

Danforth Bay

Danforth Bay - Just south of Conway area. Very nice Campground with all the amenities and plenty to do in the surrounding area.

Have you considered Bar Harbor, Maine? They certainly have the biking/hiking trails and I've heard good things about Narrows 2 campground. Beautiful country and very dog-friendly if that's a concern.

We stayed at the Narrows II just outside Bar Harbor, ME this past September and I wasn't too impressed with it. The campsites, for the most part, are all out in the open with few having any shade. We were placed on the side of a hill and had to pull our MH's in nose first (what the people at check-in told us) because the hookups were on wrong side of the sites. This placed the MH lower than our sewer hookups. Our "view" was a bank of scrub brush. We wouldn't stay there again, especially for what they charge. The KOA & Narrows I weren't much better. We did stay at some very nice campgrounds in PA (Lancaster & Gettysburg) and an especially nice KOA just outside Lake Placid, NY.

Take look at Lake Placid NY. It has an Olympic setting with mountains, trails, and fishing. There are also lots of events.

Ives Run Campground, Tioga PA. Close to the "Grand Canyon" of PA with Hiking and Biking. It is a well run Army Corps campground. We've gone every year for the last 5 years.
