Louisville, KY RV Friendly Stops?
We are heading to Louisville next week for a music festival being held down town. This will be four days of dry camping and I would like to stop some where outside the city to buy ice and top off our fresh water tank. Any suggestions for RV friendly places before we get into the city? We will be heading SW on I71 out of Cinnci.

I would suggest the Pilot Travel center at exit 28 off I71. We have fueled up there several times but never tried to get water. I assume they will have it but no idea where the hose/spigot is located.
There are gas stations at nearly every exit along your route.
If you open Bing maps in the windows explorer browser and just put in a trip from
Cinci to Louisville and click the gas icon it will show stations along your way.
Some are more gas stations while others are full blown truck stops.
The one I mention is a truck stop.
I have to wonder where you will be parking your rig while you are "downtown"?
Hope you enjoy your visit!

Hope you enjoy your visit our our city.
You will be staying very close to the Louisville Water Tower. It is an historic piece of architecture that is well worth a visit. They have a water works museum and you can see a giant steam engine that pumped water to the city at one time. The Louisville water company was right at the forefront of the science of providing safe drinking water to a city.
When we have out of town visitors we always take them there and they always are impressed.
Also you'll have to walk across the Big 4 bridge. So much to do..... have fun!

It is a little bit up I-71, but General Butler SRP in Carrollton at exit 44 will have potable water and there is a WalMart there also for ice. Not sure if the Pilot at exit 28 will have water. There is also a WalMart at LaGrange (exit 22)

FYI- Tom PM'd me and said they are in fact staying right in the heart of the festival at Champions Park.
This is dry camping but they can walk or bicycle to a lot.
Here's hoping the weather is great for your visit(s)!

Thanks everyone for the good info! Yes, we are traveling to the Bourbon and Beyond festival next week and are dry camping in Champions Park. If you are going to be there, stop by and say hello. Look for the Salem TT flying the Jolly Rogers flag.
