Maine to Lake George

We just decided to head to Lake George from Bar Harbor. What is the best and iroute to go?

By "best", what do you mean? If you head due-west, through NH & VT, you'll get lots of hills, but some VERY beautiful country! If you want "flat", head south to the Mass Pike, then west to Albany, then north on I-87 to LG.
