Mallorytown, Lake Placid, Vermont and Cape Cod

Hello folks,

We are heading out on a three week camping trip with our 2012 Surveyor SP192T. This is our second trip with the trailer. We will be spending all our days in KOA's with the exception of the Cape Cod leg. 7/25-27:Mallorytown, Ontario. 7/27-29:Lake Placid/Whiteface Mountain, NY. 7/29-31:Quechee/Pine Valley, Vermont. 7/31- 8/6 Bay View campground, Bourne, MA. We reverse the route for the trip home. 4 nights Vermont, 3 nights Lake Placid, 2 nights Mallorytown.

Would love any information on some stops along the way. We are following the google maps from each campsite and taking the ferry across Lake Champlain. We have a 6 year old girl and a 2 3/4 year old boy.

Thanks and safe travels everybody.

Mike

When in Mallorytown you could take one of the 1000 island boat tours. Upper Canada village is about 1 hour east of Mallorytown, Fort Henry Kingston is about 1 hour west, near Upper Canada Village is dinosaur world. When you are at Mallorytown if you want to visit we are at site 80.

Thanks Terry and Janet,

We plan on using the amenities at the KOA. We did the 1000 Island tour around Boldt Castle last year when we stayed at the Ivy Lea KOA. Upper Canada Village might be a good trip for the kids.

Thanks for the offer to visit. I will make note of your site number. If you see a trailer with Chili Pepper lights out front and a Silver Jeep with the license FUN4UNME then you have found us!

Cheers,

Mike

You've gotta do dinosaur world! The time spent making these life size dino's are totally worth the time. Cardinal KOA is also a very nicely kept campground with a pool and bouncy pillow for the kiddies.

happy camping,

Santa's Workshop at North Pole, in Wilmington, NY, just down the road from the LP KOA would be a BLAST for the young ones! Just up the road from there is the drive-up for Whiteface Mountain, where you can look down onto LP Village, and many of the Olympic venues. Seeing (or better yet riding) the summer bobsleds (on wheels) at Mt. VanHovenberg will be fun for you! LP Village is one of my favorite villages in NYS. Always lots to do, and IMHO, the home of the state's best Brew Pub, the LP Brew Pub! Rent some kayaks and paddle Mirror Lake, in the Village, then stop at the Brew Pub for a great meal and a cold UBU!
