We stayed at Sunshine Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale last March.

Sunshine Holiday MHCC RV Resort | Encore RV Resort in Fort Lauderdale

It wasn't the greatest park I've stayed in, but it was nice, secure and centraly located for what we were wanting. Easy to get in and out of and only about 30-45 min depending on traffic down to South Beach/ Miami. We would stay there again.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Specifically Miami? It can take several hours to traverse from Ft. Lauderdale down to Homestead, and many people lump that all in with "Miami".

We were just looking for anything close to the Miami area. The last time I was there we stayed in a hotel and I don't remember it taking hours to go from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami. Isn't it at the most 30 to 45 min away on I95? I figured it would be much cheaper to camp then use a hotel.
