Michigan to Ocean City, MD

We are taking our annual trip to OC this year, but this time traveling with a large travel trailer. The GoodSam route is taking us on the 404 in Maryland as opposed to Rt 50 (our usual and well-known route). We plan on getting over the bridge and would like to sleep for the night somewhere - but I'm not sure of where we might be able to stay on the 404.... any ideas?
THANKS!!

Not familiar with 404 but off of 97 there is a KOA which will put you on the west side of the Bay Bridge

404 or 50 - you won't have any issues pulling a large 5th wheel. We've done both routes.

As for where to stay for a night- are you looking for a campground or parking lot?

If you stay at the KOA where dblr suggest (Capitol KOA in Millersville, MD) - I'd recommend getting up early in the morning to make your way across the bridge before traffic gets heavy.

There is a nice State Park Tuckahoe State Park off of the 404, you can look it up but a nice quite park. The KOA in Millersville MD is just off of I97 and you have to take frontage roads and such to get there but it is not to bad. I think the KOA is just to close to the big city for me, but each to his own here. If you take the 404 if I remember you still have to take 13 South and then catch 50 into OC. Have a nice trip.

Parking Lot

We are probably only taking a few hour nap... so I would like to find a lot EAST of the Bay Bridge.
THANKS!

I would just stay with 50. 404 has too many bottle necks, road construction(which has not affected traffic and yet its stop and go thru there). But there is also a S.P. on south side Denton MD Martinak State Park 2 mins. off 404. Holiday park is a full hook up 30 mins out of way. Get to the Bay Bridge early as possible!

As soon as you get on the east side of the bay bridge there is a Cracker Barrel. They seem to always welcome rv'ers. You will only be aobut 2 1/2 hours from Ocean City at that point.

I live on the eastern shore of Maryland and I would rather travel rt 50 as opposed to 404. A good amount of 404 is one lane and there are times when poeple that feel they need to be going faster than everyone else, do some pretty stupid stuff. Just my 2 cents.
