Mill Run Pa

We are looking at going to Mill Run Pa to see the house of falling water. We saw Frank LLoyd Wright's first house in Chicago. Has anyone seen this or camped in eastern Pa? Good places to stay?

Falling water is in south western PA... Are you looking for a place to stay on your way through PA, or did you mis-type?

Falling Water is definitely cool, worth seeing once in your life. That dude had one hell of an imagination! I did it in a day trip, so I can't help with the camping recommendations out there, though.

If you're looking to camp in eastern PA, well...where to start? Otter Lake is nice from what I've heard (haven't been there yet,) Blue Mountain looks nice (ditto--my trip there got squashed back in October,) and if you're up near the PA Grand Canyon/Wellsboro area (central PA,) both Petticote Junction (on Pine Creek) and Canyon Country are nice (stayed at both last year.)

Ok I'm looking for places to stay around the falling water house. I looked at Yogi Bear but we don't have children so I wasn't too interested in that one. We will be coming from Arkansas so I may take the route through Kentucky. Also we will be coming the last week of april-first week of may.Weather conditions? Thanks in advance!

It depends what you are looking for in a campground, Jellystone at Mill Run is defiantly the nicest campground in the area if you want something with full amenities. There are also some very nice State campgrounds if no full hookups are ok with you, I'd lean towards Laurel Hill first in that group, Ohiopyle is closer but trains run through on a regular basis and it also gets lots of rafters, but the rangers do a good job of keeping it low key. There are a number of private campgrounds around the area but they are very hit and miss most tailor to the whitewater rafting group which are primarily a party group that consider camping a secondary task of rafting.

There are other choices, depending on how far you want to drive from your camping base to Falling waters.
