The Sunset Trail is a beautiful walk.

Otherwise, drive up to Fuller Lake and mill around there. You can walk from Fuller Lake along a rail trail to the back of Laurel Lake (in fact, the whole way to the base of the Poll Steeple trail).

Drive your vehicle to the Pine Grove Furnace. It's a neat history thing. If you want, stop in at the Applachian Trail museum. It's right above the furnace in one of the old buildings there.

Then another drive- go to the entrance of the Pine Grove State Park campground. Make a left and follow that tiny road as far as you can. It'll take you to the upper-side and an overlook over Fuller Lake. You have to walk past a cabin (it's public land, just don't get too close to their place). It is a neat view of the opposite side of Fuller.

I like it. The View is great. We are in the overflow area and our site is large. Most of the other sites are close to each other. There are alot of activities at the campground. And there are some great things around the area. I would defiantly come back.

I LOVE the area. I grew up camping at the state park in tents and visiting Laurel Lake for day trips. It's literally my happiest place on earth.

I still go back to tent camp to re-center myself.

Do an Internet search on Camp Michaux or ask at the CG. There is an old CCC camp that you can hike to that was used as POW camp in WWII.

Well today it rained most of the day. So hiking is out. We are planning a trip to comeback though. Maybe in the Fall when the leaves change. There is so much to see here.
