Moving to Florida

We have been looking at alot of different locations in Florida. Our latest is around Naples area. I have been searching the internet and have found alot of campgrounds but would like some info if anybody has camped or fulltimed camped in the Naples area and has any good recommendations.

Thanks

I think that you are making a good choice. That
is a very nice area and if you plan to spend the winters there, the weather should be great. Many people go to northern Florida and then are not happy when they get cold weather in the winter. Good Luck

Silver lakes seems to be a membership only place and their prices are more than my mortgage payment. It does look nice but my wallet says keep it real.

We are looking between $500 to $700 a month. We are going to start calling this week to see what is available. I can use all the help I can get Phelpo. We are also seeing about a summer cottage there for her to stay at for a couple of months at Club Naples also. I won't be able to go down until late August

I have checked on woodalls site and rv park reviews and a Florida camping site. I have about a dozen wrote down to check out. Wife starts her new job there on July 7 so she is going to check them out before I head down with the fifth wheel.

Thanks Phelpo. We rented a Summer rental park model for the month of July at Club Naples so the wife can start her new job and check out Club Naples and she can drive around and check out the other RV Parks in July. Most of the RV parks have good reviews so it will be just a matter of us finding the one we like in our price range. If we rent a spot for year it is alot more affordable then monthly. 1st of August I will head on down with the FW and set it up at the RV Park that she likes then I will have to go back to Michigan for a month or two then I will head down there to be with her full time. I have been reading alot of good things about Naples.
Wish us luck!!!

Just an update:
Wife made it to Naples and started her job. She got a chance to check out the RV Parks we had on our list and liked Club Naples the best. She talked to one of the managers and we have a site on the back side of the park that backs up to the woods. I head down August 1st with the FW and hope to be there August 3rd.

Which way from Michigan would be the easiest? I am thinking about I75 the whole way.

Update:
Made it down to Club Naples in 3 days. First day made it just North of Atlanta, second day made just south of Ocala then on the third day made it to Naples. Ya I had a cold one, maybe two.
Luckily everything went smooth and had the camper in place by 2pm. Stayed a few days then flew back to Michigan. Going to turn in my resignation and work 2 weeks then drive down a moving truck then start my new job as a Maintenance Technician at Naples RV Park.

You know you just became what southerners call "Damn Yankee" don't you? A Yankee is a northerner that goes south on vacation. A "Damn Yankee" is a northerner that goes south on vacation and STAYS!

Seriously, good luck with the new job and learn to talk southern! Be careful and have a safe trip!
