Depending on how badly you want to have the "attractions" of Myrtle Beach, my favorite campground is south of Myrtle Beach at Huntington Beach State Park. There are some full hook up sites. There are boardwalks to a beautiful uncrowded beach. There are lots of historical sites to visit in the area. I make my reservations 13 months in advance (per SC State Park rules). If you go and like seafood, don't miss Murrell's Inlet Seafood Store. They premake many of their seafood items and you can eat like a royal for half the restaurant price- highly recommend the crab cakes, quiche, egg rolls, bisque, and another thing else they made that day. Cheese/bacon muffins are so good! I fill my freeze. Have fun.

We have been going to MB for years Grew up at Lakewood. We stopped going to lakewood when they started a user fee for stuff, even if you have no intent on using the rental bikes, paddle boats etc.

We have been going to Pirate Land for the last few years, they seem to have bigger sites vs other campgrounds. We were there for a month last year.

If you are there in Oct, look us up, we will be there in the first part on the month.

The one that is NOT on the beach and between N. Myrtle Beach & Myrtle Beach is Briarcliffe RV Resort (also Coast to Coast & Good Sam), (we are members there). Clean concrete pads, paved roads, full hook ups, free cable, $$ Wifi, pool w/club house, excersise room, mini-golf, bath houses, laundry. Pool water will be chilly by then due to the cool nights but, the ocean water may still be warmer. It's directly adjacent (with private gate) to Bearfoot Landing shopping, restaurants, Alabama Theater, House of Blues, marina (intra-coastal) etc. All on Rt. 17 which gives you access to everything beachy!

We are traveling now and won't be back there until mid November so, if you decide to stay there, sorry we'll miss ya.
