We camp with 7, have never had a complaint. That is the difference between responsible and non responsible owners. Non should ever be tied outside without an owner present or left alone.

Yup!!! The problem isn't the dog, it's the owner. Aggravating or teasing any animal is completely wrong, complain to the owner or campground management. That's where the problem is.

I have camped at both Apache and Myrtle Travel Park and liked them both. I like to stay in the northside, because I travel on I-40 to Wilm. NC then go south on US 17

We camp with 2 and have found many CGs limit to 1 or 2. Could not get into one as our 2 (which was OK) weighed more than a total of 40#, closer to 50. These 2 may be spoiled but are well behaved.

We like MB State Park and Huntington Beach State Park, nice sites, good bath houses and beaches that are fantastic. At Huntington Beach you could easily be the only person in site on the beach, the beach is what all of the barrier islands on the East Coast use to be.

We stayed at Pirateland a few years ago. Its ok, there's a cool lazy river for cooling off. The thing that turned me off was this stupid golf cart parade EVERY NIGHT with music blasting out of carts...made getting in and out of the campground very difficult. I could see maybe one night a week, but it was EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. It got very annoying.
We are trying Ocean Lakes for a long weekend in March. We will see how that goes. I would have prefered the state park, but our friends chose the campground and we invited ourselves along...LOL.

X's 2 on here much smaller and very well kept up plus your private beach entrance just across the park road. Never been to the Huntington Beach...

I have a dog and travel with it. She is in the trailer or with us. She's a young dog, non aggressive and pretty quiet. It really bothers me when "dog" people let their animals roam, don't clean up after their dog or don't silence their dogs. Dogs are great companions but should have "intruder" alert barks only. The balky dogs(because of ignorant owners) make it so hard for us. Many have complimented us on our dogs manners. It's consistent training and positive reinforcement. Now, if I could train her not to slobber or shed I'd be on cloud nine. Lol
