Myrtle Beach, SC

Looking for information on good campgrounds in Myrtle Beach, SC. We are planning to go that direction the 3rd week of March, weather permitting. Do you have to have reservation or are there sites open at that time.

Select a park and call ahead to see if they have opennings. We stay at Pirate Land every other year and we get the same site, but we go for two weeks the last week in June and the first week in July.....crazy place on the 4th.

We stayed at the Willow Tree Rv Resort in Longs SC last April for a RV-Dreams get together last year . The sites were large. very clean and owners very friendly. We were able to secure a lakeside site would return in a heartbeat. Longs is just outside of Mertle Beach.

Will camp sites be hard to get the 3rd week in March in the Myrtle Beach SC area? There maybe 3 campers traveling together.

When we went they were fully booked. Having said that our group took up about 60 sites. I would call ahead and make sure before you go.

We stayed at North Myrtle Beach Family Travel Park. I would make your reservations as soon as you can. They have about 1000 sites and some permanent residents. Its clean, great beach, swimming pool, resturant, and lazy river with rafts. We have been there several times and would go back.

Since i live here i guess i better put in my two since,Oceanlakes is rated #1 in the states for some reason, ive never camped there since i live only 2 blocks away.I do have family that love the place ,But make sure you make resevations in advance. My 2nd choice is Lakewood campground , I have actully been there and had fun, they have a great show.I also hear that pirateland is a great place to camp,So there are the top 3,you can't go wrong with any one of these.Enjoy your trip to the beach.

We stayed at Myrtle Beach Travel Park for a week in November. Facilities were clean, pool was open, close to shopping. Offered seventh night free.

I don't know how you can beat Ocean Lakes. We've stayed there a number of times and have never been disappointed. Everything is right there in the campground. If you want a good spot you'd better reserve now for March. That shows how everyone likes it there. You can prepay and just drive right through the gate without going through registration. They will send all you paperwork through the mail.
