What route are you taking near Greensboro ????? I40 ?? I85 ?? I73/I74?? I77 ??

If your taking I77 to I81 then Mayberry Campground not too far off I77. Mt Airy NC near Virginia Line, Clean great, owners but if you are taking other routes may be too far off your path.

Another vote for Bar Harbor Campground. A no vote for Narrows Too as its a corporate park and a bit expensive. We also stayed a Wassampki Springs because its the closest CG to downtown Portland (one of my favorite small cities), I believe about 6 miles. Though our pull through site was narrow it did not stop us from campfires and cooking fresh lobsters and steaks on the grill. Walking around the CG it appeared they had larger back-in sites. We were satisfied with our stay there.

Harrisburg area. There is great state park within 30 min of Harrisburg. Gifford pinchott state park. They do have some full hook up sites.

Bar harbor ME. Hadley's point is nice campground.

For Baltimore I would stay on outskirts and take metro into city. Better than taking trailer/motor home into city area. Same with Boston.
