Never saw this before

Last weekend I took the camper down to Cape May NJ for four days.
The fishing trip was canceled due to high winds so it turned out to be four windy, rainy days of piece & quiet.

Anyway what I’ve never saw before was the campground was enclosed in a six foot high fence (and here’s where I’m still scratching my head) at the top of the fence was barbed wire.
Now I could understand if the campground was in Camden but I never thought of Cape May as I high crime area. I mean in some areas of Cape May you turn the corner & expect to see Opie standing there.

Anyone ever stay in a campground that had barbed wire?

I remember this was all over the news a couple years ago.
Not only do I applaud it but wonder why they wasted the money on the tents! It’s better than some of our service men have had.

Glenn- that was good! I remember Sheriff Joe from when I lived out there. Does he still have the "vacancy " sign
