New England camping

I was suprised to see no posts here from MA. Sound off with your favorite New England campground.

We love camping in Maine but are always looking for new, family friendly campgrounds to visit. One of our favorites is Beaver Dam campground in Berwick Maine. So close to the coast but away from the summer time madness and crouds.

The Western Lakes and Mountains Region is a ideal region for camping and leisure activities in Maine. It is best known for its crystal clear lakes and rugged mountain ranges and the region offers many outdoor activities including water sports, fishing, hiking, biking and skiing.

We're set for a week at Normandy Farms in Foxboro. We're using it as a base for Southern New England touring. Looks nice on line.

Our favorite campround is Wild Duck Campground in Scarborough Maine. Its an adult only (21 and over) campground, it is small but its a quiet area that is about 10 minutes from Old Orchard beach.

On the other hand, there is Strawberry Park in Preston, CT that is very family oriented and caters to children. They have numerous planned daily activities.
