Nolin Lake State Park

After leaving the FROG on Saturday, DW and I pulled BERTHA on down to Nolin State Park for a Saturday night through Monday night stay. This is located about 35 miles off I-65 right at Mammoth Caves Park. With only 32 sites with water and power hook-ups, we were more that impressed at how clean and nice this little part of Kentucky could be. Of course there were no train whistles to put up with, this was after seven nights of that at Goshen, IN. The ride over to Mammoth Caves incorporated a nice ferry ride on the Green River. The Ferry will only hold either two trucks or three cars, no RV's, load limit of 8 tons. We truly enjoyed our stay and without any TV, cell phone and limited radio. Would recommend this to anyone wanted a true get away from it all. Local stores have a lot of surprises in store:
