Northern New York Camping

We have 3 dogs and finding out that most CG will only accept 1 dog
We wanted to go to lake Placid in April but both nice campground only take up to 2 dogs.
Same with Association island,
We are looking for a 4 hour drive from Kingston for the weekend

Did you try Ausable campground, about 1/2 hour east of Lake Placid easy drive.

We were ther once during a trip to Lake Placid ( not the campground) loved it! Looked it up and dogs are welcome
Not opened until 18th of May but we'll have to make it during the summer. We are so lucky to live close to both the Adirondacks and the finger lakes

2 summers ago we stayed at Ausable river campground south of Keeseville, however that has been destroyed by the floods. We loved the chasm and visted Placid also, grandkids loved going up the ski jump towers. Hope the campground works out.

The ski jump is one thing we didn't do. Loved ( frightened! ) going up Veterans memorial highway to the top of whiteface mountain. I wouldn't do that with the trailer :S
