Wasn't suggesting you drive to N.C.
Just an observation that a lot of restaurants are closed. Smart ass

Drunken jacks is about 10 minutes south of ocean lakes and is one of my favorites. Not necessarily cheap, but tasty.

I live in Myrtle Beach. Two great restaurants. Graham's Landing in Murrells Inlet. The BEST She crab soup and excellent crab cakes. The second is Twin Lakes in Sunset Beach, NC. Great scallops and hush puppies.
Both restaurants are worth the drives. Prices are reasonable, less than the tourist restaurants. Enjoy.

From the southern border of Myrtle city limits you can be in NC in 40 minutes.

I live about 30 minutes from Ocean Lakes but in NC. I hear good things about that CG but never stayed there. Have not stayed in any area CGs since the 1970s when our favorite is now called Myrtle Beach Travel Park.

Ocean Lakes is a nice campground it's just a little expensive for us in the summer, but the campground stays full in the summer. We like to get away in winter, it's not far from home.

We live at the coast and almost never see any snow but it does get cool. If you think OL is expensive in the summer try just about any nice park in south FL in the winter.

Yes nice and I wish I could find a nice CG in FL where the cost in winter was just slightly higher than OL in summer.

The coast took a beating from the hurricane, they really did a great job cleaning up.

I hope they are done with the beach mods. Kind of hard to sleep a few nights last few nights with the back up signals beeping all night. Lost the nice view though with the sand piles. But beach came out nice.
