On the road to Acadia

I leave tomorrow for a 2 1/2 week trip from Illinois to New York, New Hampshire and Acadia National Park which is on my bucket list and I am totally psyched!

Have a wonderful time. Go to Cadillac Mountain. First place in US that you can see the sunrise.

Have a great trip! Restaurants that are recommended are Thirsty Whale and Rosalie's Pizza in Bar Harbor. Lots of great hiking.
Enjoy and God bless,
Jeff

On the road to Acadia

We loved New Hampshire (white mountains) and Maine (Acadia National Park). We were there last year and had unbelievably great weather. Hope you have the same. Have a great time. You will enjoy. Feel free to ask any questions. Cadillac Mtn is a must do as well as Sand beach and Thunder Hole. We enjoyed Paddy’s Grille with a great view of the bay. Great hiking trails in Acadia.

Most of the time this is true, but not always.

I’ve heard they have lobsta there😃 I also recommend the sunset sailing on one of the big schooners. The Bay Lady was one of our faves if she is still sailing. Thunderhole and whale watching is a must. We are heading there this fall. Enjoy!

We're staying at Patton Pond. It's probably, not right in Acadia but not terribly far.

We were there 4 years ago. If you're taking a dog with you, you'll find Bar Harbor to be really dog-friendly.

That's great news since we have a small jack-rat terrier!

Suggest you increase your trip by 2X.... too much to see in 2 wks. Suggest you stay at Sunset Point campground, in Harrington, ME about 35 miles west of Acadia. No hassle as in Bar Harbor area
