This thread brought back some memories! We had land in that area when I was a kid (60's-70's). Spent allot of time camping on it. Have 1000's of acres all to ourselves back then 9folks only owned a few acres but no one else was near us). We would often find groups of people from Otter Lakes that were lost and wandering around in the forest. If they were close to our camp we would take them there and Dad would drive them back to OL. If we were closer to OL we would lead them there. They were often amazed that a kid could find his was so easily!
The area I knew as wild is now a regular neighborhood. At least I have the memories!
