My TH has all Schwintek slides and have had 1 failure in year 2. Not much fun. What was your symptom and what did they do to repair it?

Each time, the under side of the slide starts to gouge. It gets progressively worse until the slide room starts to get twisted when it goes out. Ultimately it burns up one motor and the slide room mostly ceases to be functional (you can hope + pray that you can push while extending/retracting the room).

As far as I can tell- Sabre was never very clear in what they did; but the fix each time has been replacing the entire slide system. Each time we try replacing just a motor, it isn't enough.

Just this week, they dropped it off again and the repair shop gets 3 days to fix the slides. Pretty neat scheduling and one I'll likely adopt when we're further from family.
Oh the irony. My friend's repair shop dropped the ball and only fixed 1 of 2 of their bunkhouse slides. He's either going to ride with me to Lippert or I'm just going to pickup parts for him.

Ependydad,
Does it get gouged where the rollers are? I belong to a Lance Owners Club and they have a fix for that specific issue before the slide fails.

Yes, that's exactly where it's happening. Have a link or can you share details?

I'll have to do a search on the forum and get you a link. I don't get on that forum as often now. I remember Lance would add aluminum runners to the bottom of the slide where the rollers are. I'll get you a link...

Attached are some pics from Lance Forum. One showing the damage and a couple showing the aluminum runners fix.
