Pittsburgh to Deleware seashore state Park

Does anyone have any suggestions on an easy route?

I always took Route 68 over that way - much nicer ride than the turnpike.

Thanks we'll take a look at that. We were trying to avoid the turnpike if possible. Can't wait to hit the beach.

Come down 70 to 695 to 97 to 301 but not sure of the best way from there. I use to run back roads across to De but crazy as it sounds I can do it but can not tell you how to. As far as the Pa turnpike sorry no help there.

I used to work in Baltimore, but being a 'burgher', came home a lot. Route 68 is the only way to go. Just beware - sometimes it snows in Frostburg into June! Traffic around Cumberland, MD can be hairy sometimes, but it's a very short distance and you are past the mess and onto Hancock, where 68 turns into 70.
