Pokagon State Park, Indiana - Campground 1

Will be traveling to Pokagon State Park this summer and managed to get the last electric campground for our days. We will be in Campground 1 for a week. Do any of you have any pics or videos of Campground 1? I have searched the Web a lot and all I see are the other campgrounds (2,3, 4). Saw one review that said sites near ours (#103) are not level and it looks like there may be a main row and some sort of treatment center behind it? Just wondering if anyone can give me any insight. Thanks so much!

Went to Reserve America and found a map of all the campgrounds. Looked on Google Maps and I think this is the site 41°43'04.7"N 85°02'00.6"W

Zoom in and look at it in satellite view. It appears that there are maintenance buildings some distance behind the campground, but can't tell what they are.

It looks nice and shady plus near the water.

Pokagon SP, near Angola Indiana

HI!

I am going to go out on a limb and say we camped in section #1 in May of 2016. I distinctly remember Pokagon because it is a gem of a park, with a lot of CCC construction from the 30's that is well cared for. The Toboggan Run, Lodge, and trails are lovely. I am pretty sure our site was #110. That area is pretty hilly, and many of the sites are not level. I am not positive, but larger RV's may have trouble in that area....

Althought pretty hilly, ther is great bicycling here! We were only there for a day, but I would go back there for a week. Probably will be pretty warm in July, but there is swimming in the lake!

Have a blast!

Thank you Kimber. I did check out the pics on that page. Just hard to tell how level the sites are and what is behind it.

Wow! Thanks so much. I am going to go check out Google Maps now and see if I can find it.

Thank you, that site looks cool. I see what you mean about it being hilly though. I am really hoping my site is level. Thank you for sharing your pictures!!!
