Porcupine Mountains, MI

Just returned from what so far has been the best camping/site seeing trip I have ever had. Lake of the clouds in the Porcupine Mountains, the Falls in Presque Ilse, swimming and diving a ship wreck in Lake Superior and using our Forest River Camper in Union Bay Camp State Camp Ground. What a wonderful trip. If you are ever in the upper pennisula of MI, please make the trek to the Porcupine Mountains. Great hiking, great waterfalls, beautiful country. Even had a doe and two fawns walk with us up the trail in Presque Isle. Pictures to follow.....

There are some really cool places in Michigan that the wife & I would love to visit with the trailer. A few years ago, we drove into Tahquamenon Falls State Park (trailerless) just to see what the camp sites and the park looked like and we must have hit it at just the right time of the year to see all the colors changing. It was really a great getaway, even if it was just for a quick weekend trip to the U.P. Looks like you found another site to put on the "to do" list, thank you so much for sharing that. Here's one of the park we went to if you're interested:

UP Visits

Since we live in the upper eastern part of Michigan, we travel the UP a lot and have enjoyed all the scenic area's that it offers, but had not gone to Porcupines and also have not been to Tahquamenon Falls State Park either, so that is on our bucket list. Thanks for posting and be sure to take in the Porcupines and that area. Well worth the drive
