Any comments from anyone on going up highway 23 along the shore? Bad hills? Tight turns? Low bridges? And any other gotchas?

Thanks.
None that I am aware of just the toad construction in Oscoda but the traffic moves good.

I am not disputing the different costs between Ontario and Michigan I just don't like being charged more because I'm different, I look at that as discrimination and while still practised by many it should not be aloud in any form by a government or government organization. Just my opinion.

I don't know if you are different or not but you should look at Prices and Fees on your side of the Boarder before talking about Michigan. Fees to Snowmobile in Ontario-(260.00$) year, Michigan Snowmobile Trail Fees (35.00$) year! Just facts Youroo!!

I've driven that road with a car. Wide open, nice road. But it's been a few years. Just want to mention: don't pass up Mackinac Island!! Must see for Michigan. There's parking at the Ferries and you go over by indoor/outdoor ferries. No motorized vehicles. Walk about or rent a bike on the island. Very victorian, charming, and lots of famous Mackinac Island Fudge....Intense views of the Great Lakes, Mackinac Bridge, large ships, etc. etc.
Here's a link to my favorite CG up there:

Sounds nice! Would you go over for an hour or the whole day? We could make it a day trip from Alpena or a lunch stop on our way to the Soo and Pancake Bay in Ontario.
