Ramblin Pines in Woodbine, MD

We had a great summer camping at Ramblin Pines in Woodbine, MD this summer. This was our first season in the camper and This campground was so enjoyable. For those of you that are curious, here is some video footage that I compiled.

Glad you had a great summer there they do not get very good reviews on the RV Park Review web site but of course most of the folks posting are overnighters or weekenders.

kpm, that was pretty neat!

But, you missed the giant jumping pillow, the fact that their front-row RV spots are facing the RV storage lot, and their wonky sewer hookups.

I did enjoy my weekend there and it didn't really match most of the rest of the RV Park Reviews.

Thanks ependydad.

Oh yes, that jumping pillow is neat for the kids. The water hookup is in a different place than I have normally seen, but I didn't mind that much. I would not want a site that faces the storage lot. I've never had one. All of the sites I've stayed at had lots of nice trees and plenty of shade. Some sites are pretty deep in the campground with a nice feeling of camping in the woods. The sites across from the jumping pillow seem a little tighter than the rest.

Thanks.

This has been my experience so far for the five visits this summer.

We pull up and the office staff is very helpful in checking you in. After check in, someone escorts you to your campsite. They will help guide you in if help is needed. I'm pretty good at backing up now, but I really appreciated their patience and help when I was learning.

Any questions about the campsite were quickly handled. Firewood delivery was prompt. We've enjoyed all of the sites we've stayed in. They have all had great spacing between our neighbors. The trees, shade and nature makes it really peaceful and enjoyable.

We had some good experiences with the perm campers. As I was setting up, I was offered cinder blocks to help with leveling by my neighbor (perm camper resident) because they knew the site I was at was un even. The sweet lady offered me wood and the kid a klondike bar They were very good neighbors.

The gentleman driving around in the golf carts that work there are helpful. I gather that they are passionate about their work and wanted to share their knowledge and experiences with me.

I find that the campground is very festive and fun. Their fall festivities have been great. They have all sorts of activities planned. We were their last weekend and did trick-or -treating, rode the action packed hay ride, carved a pumpkin and did the spooky trail. Many of the campers had their sites decorated with all sorts of Halloween lights etc...

Jerry down at the lake is a great asset their. He teaches the kids and anyone else how to fish. I had no fishing rod so he set my boy up with his rod and taught him how to fish. Now my son fishes all by himself when we go because of our wonderful experience with Jerry.

So far so good for us and our experiences their. I just wanted to share some video because I enjoy watching videos of campgrounds so that I can see what it's like before I go there.

You have a monster rig, but they have some nice wooded lots you could fit in.

Kpm, at first I thought you were a seasonal there but now I understand. We have not been there in a lot of years so just going by the reviews, maybe you should post one also, seeing you have had good experience so other will see the good side.

Yep! I definitely didn't like being up on the front-row BUT there was good to it- I was there by myself (usually my wife is my spotter) and had my daughter and her friend in tow. Having them spot me and help guide me into the site was nice.

I also had good experiences with the folks working there (contrary to the RV Park Reviews comments).

I'll definitely ask for a site back in the campground next time I go.

I did write up their info here:

Yes. I am not a seasonal camper there. I'll consider doing that review. I think trip advisor is where I saw reviews for this campground.
thanks

Ependydad. Very nice and detailed review! I am going there this weekend for a quick trip and was going to scout out some of those good sites for the larger RV's. However, after reading your review, I see that you know where they are. A1-A7 are some nice shaded pull through sites. I stayed across from these on s4. I'm assuming that these sites would be big enough for your RV. My camper is half the size of your so I can jam it in almost any of those spots there in the woods. The terrace level sites are right across from that field and jumping pillow. They are not shaded and kinda close together, but are probably better than looking at the storage lot at the FR sites.
They also had a couple of random pull through sites in the back; either d19 or d12. Not sure of the max rv size though. Good luck!
