Road conditions from PA south

Looking for road conditions such as rough stay allot of broken concrete etc,

I-81 South from PA to TN
I-75 South in TN to 59
US 59 South through AL
I-20 south from MS to TX
US 59 South from I-20 to Houston and south

Anyone recently travel this way that can share what the roads were like?

Went that way in 14. Wasn't bad, I don't think it changed that fast to be bad.

59 South is good road. Even 45S to Galveston is good road. Like most metro areas, if you hit Houston at the wrong time, congestion can be aggravating. Otherwise, you're in good shape.

I live in East Texas and have taken that route several times over the past 3 years heading back to Pa and NY. The only part I don't know about it 59 S from 20. I live further west and stay on 20 until Tyler Tx. IMO the worst part of the road is going thru Shreveport, La. and maybe some parts of La. All in all not a bad road. Of course, no matter what route you take there is ALWAYS a pothole or several, even on some of the best interstates.

Happy travels.

I81 in Virginia to TN is fine road wise. Traffic is usually heavy to from the north to Wytheville. South to the border is fine Watch your speed in Wythe and Washington Counties. The counties like the extra revenue.

Northeast PA will be the worst if you're up that way though some paving was done over the summer. Once you come out of the mountains and get close to Hershey/Harrisburg they get better. And once you get going thru VA they get smoother and smoother. You can tell where they have to salt, cinder & plow a little more north.
