Route from Central Georgia to Vermont

Suggestions on this??? We will be traveling in a 32 foot Sunseeker MH not pulling a toad. Things to see, places to go are appreciated. First/middle of October trip.

Route from Central Georgia to Vermont back to Niagara Falls on to Lexington and back to Central Georgia.

Route would include I 85 to Charlotte, NC then I 77 to I 81 just below Roanoke. Then I 81 merging with I 78 to Bridgewater, NY. Then I 287 to I 87 to Albany, NY. Then it looks like state route 22 crossing into Vermont and then state route 7 to Rutland, VT. Then state route 4 to state route 100 to I 89 up to Montpelier, VT. Probably up to Burlington, VT and back down to Montpelier. Same route out of Vermont back to NY staying on state route 4 to 149 to above Glens Falls, NY hitting I 87 to Saratoga Springs then state route 29 to I 90. I 90 to Tonowanda, NY and travel around from there in Buffalo.

I 90 West to Cleveland, OH. hitting I 271 South to I 71 South thru Columbus, Oh, thru Cincinnati, Oh, and picking up I 75 below Cincinnati on to Lexington, KY. From there we mostly understand the roads on I 75 unless someone knows of an issue.

Thanks in advance for any advice on any parts of our route.

Nice trip! Heading near my old stomping grounds. Johnsonville, NY. Just North of Albany. Are you planning on stopping in Bridgewater? When we go visit, we stay on 81 to 84 near Scranton, PA. Then cross over to 87 near Newburgh. But I hate NYC. I was a farm boy.

There's also 88 in Binghamton. Take you into Schenectady. But that road offers close to nothing for stops / exits.

On your trip up spend a little time in Mt Airy and see where Andy Griffen and the TV show where filmed also Stay at Mayberry cg close to town and nice. On your return trip nice cg on the by pass around Cincinnati called Winton Woods. Very nice. From there stop over in Bowling green KY and visit the Corvette Museum. No plant tours till Jan due to retooling. We stay at the KOA there. also visit Lost River cave there. Cool place. You also might consider Mammoth Cave National park just north of Bowling Green. Real nice camp ground and various tours though the caves. Got to make advanced reservations tho because tours and camp ground are really busy and fill fast. You may also want to consider stopping off in Chattanooga nice KOA there also and lots to see and do. Later RJD

Burlington - Go North - Don't go back to see what you have already seen.

From Burlington - I-89 North to the Champlain Islands exit. Head west on Rt. 2 to travel thru the island towns. Many nice places to stop, shop, and eat. Continue to Alburgh and head over to NY on the bridge to Rouses Point NY. From there you can access I-87 South (Champlain NY) and travel down thru the Adirondacks, perhaps a side trip to Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, and the many Adirondack Lakes in the area. Take I-87 south to head back home.
