Chocorua Camping Village south of Conway near Tamworth. Haven't been there in a few years, but was nice and quiet. Lots of activities and places to visit within a days drive.

Ames Brook campground in Ashland NH, it's in the lakes region. Most NH campgrounds close after Columbus Day weekend.

First time at Ellacoya I'll post some pix next week. Big Rig's right about a year in advance reservations. I did a quick check on Reserve America for july 4th and its filling up now still some availible though. State parks with hookups are rare in New England.

Ellocoya was a terrific campground. Long roomy sites full hookups including cable, rest rooms with changing rooms and laundry room. The beach on Lake Winnipesaukee seemed a bit narrow but it might have been the storm blowing in from the NW. Best sites would of course be close to the lake but I dont think any would be bad, all are laid out pretty much the same. Of course last week there were only 6 of us there Saturday nite and 3 Sunday so it was quiet. The guys at the office were pretty laid back with the park closing soon. Manager told my wife weekends during the summer were full but there was usually openings during the week
