Seeing is believing

Packed up our vibe and headed east to myrtle beach to pirate land campground for a week of fun and more fun. On our trip down from Asheville nc we have seen five campers being pulled by 1/2 ton and s u v's of every make pulling either at their limit or under sagging with no weight distribution hitches or sway controls.with some seeming to be just inches from dragging their bumpers. A blatant disregard for their safety as well as the safety of all on the road. Why? Why?why?. Then their was the class a coach who passed me so fast that in engaged my active sway controls even my 10 year old daughter knew what an idiot he was. When we arrived and set up we watched the dash cam video and seen just how lucky we were to be in a safe veichal with the proper set up. Now to head back hopefully the ride will be better.

You know, I saw one of them pulling out of Zooland in Asheboro NC today. It was a midsize SUV towing an older 28' travel trailer. He had a regular hitch and ball. No wdh at all. The front end was pointed skyward. The hitch clearly looked inadequate for the tongue weight. He was at the dump station when I pulled out. I was glad to be ahead of him on the road.
