Shenandoah River State Park

Just left this park today and must say we had a blast. What a beautiful state park. It's located in Bentonville, Va not too far from Luary Caverns. Sites are large and level. Spent 4 days and 3 nights there over Easter weekend. We're Verizon subscribers and there was no cell service or internet for us, which was actually nice for a change. Weather was great, except for a pretty bad storm that moved through last night and actually took another camper's EZ UP and blew it clear around the park and uphill to another section of the campground. We did a little DO cooking, a little hiking, a little exploring, and a lot of relaxing. Here's a couple of pics from the trip:

It's one of those canopy things you can put over your picnic table, something similar to this:

Yup. Those EZ Ups can get airbourne all by themselves faster than I can get a kite in the air!! Damn kites anyway !!

LOL, they're really simple.
  • Get some of that pizza dough stuff in a can like the biscuits come in and spread it out into a pie pan.
  • Add your favorite ingredients (not the cheese yet)
  • Place the pan in your DO and place some charcoal brickettes on the bottom of your DO and on the top lid
  • Let cook for 10 minutes or so
  • Open the lid and then add your shredded cheese to your pizza and replace lid
  • Pop open adult beverage while it cooks another 10-15 minutes or until the cheese melts to your desired yumminess
  • Remove from DO, cool, then dig in
