Where to stay, is parking a problem in the flea market area? Plan on visiting early June.

Saw several cg/RV parks in the area last year. Did not stay at either but saw lots of parking areas. Enjoy

We stayed at Twin Mills last year. It was pretty decent. My wife and family went to the Shipshewana Flea Market one day. Though, I don't know far away it was.

Looks like about 1/2 hour or less, might be a good bet. Thank You

I don't remember for sure, but I think we stayed at this KOA when we visited. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Shipshewana.

It was rather interesting watching some Mennonites try to figure out how to use a washing machine at the campground.

Or you could change your plans and come join the FROG International Rally in Elkhart in August.

Sounds perfect, close to everything we want to visit, Thanks

Actually it was the Forest River Rally that initially interested me in this area but the date didn't work.

We stayed at the same KOA last fall, really enjoyed the area. We were going to stay at the fairground where the rally is held but the fair was on.

Go to the Hudson museum in Shipshewana. It is worth your time. We got lucky and met the collector and got an autographed copy of his autobiography.

The Hudson museum sounds interesting, it will bring back memories as a child of going to Niagara Falls in the rumble seat of a Hudson Terraplane, Thanks

We have stayed twice at the Amish Log Cabin and Campground. We love it here!
It is quiet and very nicely kept and quite small. You can hear the horse and buggies going by at night and in the morning. It is about 5 miles north of the downtown(5 min.drive) There is lots of parking near the downtown area.We checked in and then drove with our 32 foot Sunseeker and parked,to shop and eat.It is really great in the fall as everything is decorated so beautifully.
The play they do at the Blue Gate Theatre is very good.
Quick drive over to Elkhart to factory.

The flea market has its own campground and if you stay there you can come and go to take your time.

Campgrounds

Will check out the Amish Log Cabin & Campground.
The one at the flea market you can't reserve, that could be a problem.
Thanks for the input.

That's too bad

Well, you COULD stay at the Fairgrounds - they do have RV facilities there. It is pretty central to the area, the rates are good AND you could say that you got to the rally REALLY early this year

Seriously, good CG, and while you are in the area, you may be able to schedule a tour of the plant that made your camper! Another good place to visit is the RV Hall of fame and of course you MUST have a meal at Das Essenhaus!

Sure appreciate all the input as we want to see all we can while there, unfortunately the plant that makes our Surveyor will be running RPods most of June. We all so have a Quailridge park model so I have a query in now to see if that works. Is the fairgrounds reservable and do they have showers ?

Shipshewana

Just stayed at South Park campground. $40/night, full hookup. Decent facilities, small lots but nothing extra. South end of Shipshewana, short drive to downtown.
