Shoal Creek Campgrounds, GA-anyone been?

I have a 3 day weekend wedding to attend in 2 weeks in GA, I've been trying to get in touch with the campground desk at Shoal Creek campgrounds, part of Lanier Island Resort for about 2 weeks now, calling daily and leaving vm. The main office that handles the rest of the resort says the campground is run completely separate and its 'open' but could offer me zero else as help. I'm worried taking my Berk there without a plan in place...has anyone camped here ? could you offer me any info on how best to get in touch with them besides calling the number that nobody answers?

Thanks!

I would take the Berk. There are a ton of other places up that way if that specific campground turns out to be a bust. Haven't camped there. I think it's close to Lake Lanier Islands and may be run by Lake Lanier Islands. I'd call the islands hotel and ask for the concierge to get a number. We put the boat in at that ramp and the campground seemed nice. It's a COE lake, so the campgrounds are better than most.

If you want to fish, holler at me... One of my highschool buddies guides on Lanier, not sure if he would have an opening, he has been posting some really good pics lately. It's a great striper lake.

Awesome, that link had a number for them that I have not seen before. Thanks!
My concern is wanting to be near as possible we actually had a resort cabin reserved since February, its crazy expensive each night...sort of the reason why we bought the Berk you know. I;m told its not too late to cancel. Fingers crossed they answer this number tomorrow.

Thanks again!

I think there are 25 or 30 campgrounds at Lanier and 5 or 6 RV dealers within 10 miles. I think you will find a spot. Let me know how it is up there. Might be something to check out this fall and pull the boat up there too.

dagnabit- the 'new' number for this cg is out of service. Maybe they really are closed for the season as aceinspp said above....I would t have thought so as it 'part of' a resort

Negative... Shoal Creek open year round. It is run by Lanier Islands which is really a ripoff considering it is double the price of the other Corps CGs with the same amenities. Sawnee is still open on the south end of the lake and Bolding Mill on the north end. Your Berk will be fine at either of these
