We also stayed at King's Holly Haven several times. The last time I was there they were building a football stadium next door. How has that affected the experience?

We've stayed at Pine Mountain and enjoyed it, it was close to everything.

They built complete sports complex at the park. Hasn't affected stay too much.

Just got back from this area. Stayed 5 nights at Cove Creek RV Resort. Loved it!! Right in middle of Wears Valley. Only 7 miles to Pigeon Forge down the mountain and close to Cades Cove. Sites are large, all with full hookup. Bath house is very nice as was the pool. Large laundry room with several washer/dryers. Exercise room w/ ping pong, foosball, n air hockey games. We stayed on gravel site backed up to small creek. Very peaceful and away from all the lights and noise on the strip. Several 'Country Stores' close by...also a Dollar General is only 1.5 miles from resort. They have just about everything you can find in a normal grocery store except for beef n steak. Resort also sells ice and firewood.

We stayed at elkMont. Its a national forest campground so no hook ups but super clean recently renovated can use a generater a few hours a day also. Only downside was dump station is down the hill closer to the city. we fit our 30 foot 8316. They have some sites for bigger units great place.

We stayed at Crazy Horse Campgrounds/Adventure Bound Camping Resort. It's located about 12 miles East of Gatlinburg. It's a rolling hills wooded area with streams running through it. It also backs up against the Smokey Mountain Nation Park Land. Very quiet and the people were great. I would go there again.
