South Jersey to Trenton Maine in October

We are planning at trip to Maine in early October from South Jersey.

Our trailer is 13'4" high, trying to plan our route to prevent losing the top of our trailer.

Plus looking to possible start the drive late afternoon and stop somewhere late evening till morning and start again to break up the ride. Any ideas would be helpful.

Assuming your highway/turnpike driving with that rig you shouldnt have a problem. Bangor to Ellsworth to Trenton(Narrows 2 ?) is 2/4 lanes and the route taken by most of the bigger rigs. If you dont have it would suggest EZPASS

Just came back from Maine this week from southeast pa. I avoided nyc and went up 87 to Albany then east on 90, 495 around Boston and finally back to 95. It was a bit longer but no issues or heavy traffic. I would highly recommend an ezpass and load it up cause you will get nickel and dimmed the whole way.

We just added to our trip.
Heading to Vermont for a few days then heading to New Hampshire for a few days. We will then go to Maine for 6-7 days.
I guess this will be the fall foliage trip in October.

Wave to the Sunseeker as you go by. I'll be in Vermont first week of October then on to 1000 islands

Go online and use the Good Sam trip planner, it takes low passes into account, will let you know of low places.

Ok - I'll try the good SAMs trip planner and double check it against the low clearance app and see how it works.

Depends where in Maine. Three nice parks in Old Orchard Beach, almost anywhere you can go in Maine is beautiful.

Another great free app is RV PARKS on smartphone. Gives all low clearances too

We are looking at Waterhouse Campground and Marina, Salisbury, Vermont 05769-9801 - 937 W Shore Rd, GPS: 43.90730, -73.08624,
but they don't take reservations.
We plan on visiting a relative in this area. There is another camp site up the road we plan on looking in to before we depart.
