I'm usually driving around 60, regardless if the speed limit is 65 or 70. I can get around 12 mpg if I keep it at 55 or 60, drops considerably above that. Drove 65 for 2.5 hours straight last week pulling the camper and got 9.8 mpg.

Another speed trap in SC is in McBee. I hate that town, their main source of revenue is speeding tickets for beach traffic.

Yea, I know about mcbee. Its 25 mph thru there. Everybody knows they have that big sign with the finger pointing at you saying watch your speed. They always have the cheapest gas there.

I drive 60-62 0n the interstates & in construction zones the posted speed limit or under and I will move into the left lane with the truckers because the right lane is usually narrower and temporarily built on the shoulder.
