Between Seneca and Cayuga Lake's, you won't run short of vineyards and wineries. Where to stop is a matter of personal taste, as some specialize in drys, others in sweets, etc. Among our favorites is Three Brothers (actually it's three wineries and a brewery in one location, and they have GREAT home-brewed root beer!), Hazlet (Red or White Cat), and Fruit Yard (great fruit wines for desserts and cooking). Montezuma Winery, north of Cayuga is also good, as they have a great cranberry wine, Cranberry Bog, which is a must on our Thanksgiving Day dinner table.
Wife and I just returned yesterday from a 10-day stay in Sampson State Park, on the east side of Seneca Lake.
