If you go to this area make sure you stop in Clayton at the antique boat museum, well worth it. They also have an in water antique boat show in late July or early August with any number of old Chris Crafts, Shephards and others, fantastic to see these boats up close and to also hear them start up and run, that sound is a one of a kind. Have camped both sides and both are great sites.
I have already posted about the (SLS) so in regards to Wooden Boats,look up (Les Cheneaux Wooden Boat Show-Hessel Mi.) located on Lake Huron,largest wood boat show in the US!
