Wow that's not good. I'm in Illinois and we got it pretty good this week too. I can't wait till we are able to get out west during these times. Couple more years.

They were too big to be chipmunks unless they have big chipmunks in the desert. We took a day trip yesterday to Lake Havasu to see the London Bridge. We also stopped to see the Dam in Parker AZ. This we found out is the deepest Dam in the world because 350 ft of it is underground. There is about 235 ft above the ground and it is on the Colorado River. This is what I read on the info sign at the Dam before anyone starts an argument. We crossed the top of the Dam and come to find out we were in California. We travelled the Parker Dam Scenic Byway and saw many wild Burros walking all over the place. Some of them were feeding on the grass near a green on the Golf Course. I had wanted to go to Oatman Az. but this was just as good and less travel. My battery has just died in my mouse so I will have to post my pics later. Too hard to do without a mouse. I'm not a fan of navigating with a touchscreen.

Well for all you forum members fighting snow ice and freezing temps I'll try to lift your spirits a little. We are having our worse weather day since arriving in Az. It is only 65 today with overcast skies and gusty winds. I am going to post some pics of our day trip yesterday after this post . We are just relaxing today and will leave here a day early and drive back to Phoenix. We have some friends who just moved here for a one year transfer. We will then be on to Benson AZ. for a week. We are going to go up to Quartzite and browse some of the tourist shops. It is interesting to see all the people boon docking all over the desert up that way.
