Stay. Away!!

Yogi Bear Jellystone in Sturbridge Ma.
Made reservations as I needed a three day layover stop.
Asked for full service site. No problem
Asked for Internet and cable. No problem.
You just can't have sewage and internet at the same site. Didn't ask that question
Have bar, alcohol, on site catering to general public. Public come through monitored gate.
Last monitor rude and caustic could have been alcohol.
On positive note, other campers polite and helpful.

Not surprising. We added them to our list of " never going there again " years ago.

We go there once a year. They have a free weekend in early April, and you are only required to clean your site and participate in an hour or so of painting. I have no plan on staying there at any other time.

Little further west, I like Sunset View Farms in Monson, MA. We stay there when we go to six flags for a few days.

There is a bar located on the premises and open to the general (non camping) public??????

Alrighty then, let's get 'em all juiced up and turn 'em loose in the campground around our kids, pets and RVs? Sure, that's a relaxing stay, right? Standing guard over what belongs to me, and trying to keep a bunch of drunks away from my family? No thanks.

Uhhhh I'm thinking "Stay.Away" is too mild a caution. I'd have demanded my money back and stayed in a WalMart parking lot before I'd have put up with that BS.

Umm, that's not free.

Yeah, call me a teetotaler but frankly, I hear there's a bar on site I'm not going in the first place. It's bad enough when neighbors bring their own alcohol, last thing I want is a bar promoting that atmosphere.

Found this odd as well, considering there's a bar on the premises;

EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR OVER 20 YEARS!

Our Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Resort has the very best in amenities and activities and is #1 for family fun

Do they provide sitters for the kids while mom and dad go get crunked?

Hey, I'm just sayin'......

Does that apply to females also?

Oh my FSM, serious? I won't swim without one. I don't want to subject people to my overweight body.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 using the FRF mobile app.

There's a lot of places I'd rather see them kicked out for not wearing a shirt. Quite a few people out there with some scary looking chests (myself included).

And some folks take meds that make them extremely sensitive to sun.

Some female bathing suit styles have tops that look like "wife beater" (detest that phrase) shirts and some look like t-shirts (short sleeved).

that's a STOOPID rule

I'm thinkin' DH would challenge that one. That's just how he's wired.

And FTR I think he looks AWESOME in a "wife beater".

Maybe it's a New Yorker thing. (shrug)

It's a sleeveless undershirt.

Thanks - that's kind of what I thought, but wasn't sure. Some of my friends in high school wore them, but I preferred "T" shirts and still do.

Yup....makes sense. Makes for "crappy" internet reception.

It's the scary looking backs I don't like to see.
